We
are located in the Big Sky Country of Northwest Texas, in Throckmorton.
Our home is on the historic Clark Ranch, (formerly
Swenson Land and Cattle Company) which covers over 50,000 acres. My family is very important to me, and ranch living makes
our bond stronger every day. My son, Trinity, is an honor student at Throckmorton High School and is an avid calf
roper on the junior rodeo circuit. He is the 2008 Roy Cooper Jr. World Champion 12 and under tie down calf
roper. Trinity's most recent awards include THSRA Junior High Division 2010 All-Around Cowboy, THSRA Junior
High Division 2010 Champion Tie-Down Calf Roper, and 2010 United States Calf Roping Association 2010 World Finals
Champion Tie-Down Calf Roper, 2011 13-15 AJRA All-Around Champion, 2011 AJRA Tie Down Roping Champion,
and 2011 AJRA Champion Optional Roper, just to name a few.
Recently, Trinity has decided to
put down his rope and focus on his ultimate love, Six Man Football, and he plays for Coach Mike Reed and the Throckmorton
Greyhounds. Throckmorton Football is steeped in tradition, and Trinity has had the privilege of being on the 2010 Texas
State Runner-up Team, the 2011 STATE CHAMPION 6-MAN FOOTBALL TEAM and the 2012 TEXAS STATE CHAMPION 6-MAN FOOTBALL
TEAM! We are very proud of Trinity, and all his accomplishments, both on the Football Field, and in the arena!
We
always have a "Puddin" with us, they love to Rodeo and travel.
At the present time I have 7 breeding
males and 1 co-owned male, and 21 adult females, and several juniors who I hope to be the next "superstars"
of my breeding program. I have both rough and smooth coats, and will have puppies of all coat types available. I
have loved these dogs since my first meeting with a “Jack”, and have been breeding for 9 years. Cow Country Shorty
Jacks is a proud member of the EJRTCA and is dedicated to breeding the best shortie possible. All of our breeding stock
has been carefully selected from top breeders to bring you a quality, beautiful Jack Russell pup with good conformation, and
a wonderful temperament. All of our adult dogs have been tested for PLL ( Primary Lens Luxation) in 2012. Our
cowpups should fit right in with your family, and have been socialized with kids, cats, and all sorts of ranch critters.
Shorties
are much more mellow and sweet than their long-legged counterparts, and only want to be with you. Please do not be offended
if I quiz you and ask you many questions, it is important for me to place the right pup with the right person, and to try
to get the perfect partnership for life.
My dogs are EJRTCA, UKC, and AKC registered. Price will depend on
size, coat and bloodlines.
I would much rather speak to you by phone than over the internet, so I can really get an idea
of what you are looking for. If at any time you are unable to keep the puppy, we will take it back and find it a loving home.
Puppies
are wormed weekly starting at 2 weeks of age, and are RAISED IN MY HOME.
I BREED FOR DISPOSITION AND STRICTLY FOLLOW THE EJRTCA RULES AND GUIDELINES.
